Kerry Cho

Nephrologist

Dr. Kerry Cho is a nephrologist (a specialist in kidney disorders) who cares for patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension or electrolyte abnormalities. He also has particular interests in amyloidosis, tuberous sclerosis and end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis.

Cho earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, now called Weill Cornell Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, followed by a fellowship in nephrology at UCSF.

Cho is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He completed the Teaching Scholars Program through the Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators at UCSF, and he directs the UCSF Nephrology Fellowship Training Program.

In his free time, Cho enjoys playing guitar and baseball, and reading nonfiction.

    Dr. Cho as well as his care team is first and foremost a humanitarian, a professional, an extremely caring person who listens as well as being prepared with the most current medical information.     Dr. Cho is by far the best doctor / medical practitioner I have ever known. He takes the time to understand my entire health equation. I have never known a doctor who cares so much about his patients. It has been my good fortune to be a patient of Dr. Cho. I cannot say enough goods things about the way he practices medicine and the way he treats his patients. Dr. Cho is an exceptional doctor.
